What passes as expert opinion on LinkedIn is shocking. Some of the biggest culprits appear to be reporters and journalists. They are “supposed” to be thorough in their craft and have deep facts to support a claim. I see countless bits and pieces riddled with bias and passed on as fact.
It’s as if statistical hyperbole merged with ignorance (or laziness).
I just responded to a piece today from a reporter in Beijing who made sweeping claims without a shred of proof…as if one personal example is enough to make a broad statement of a public truth.
I’m going to start sending links to a 1971 masterpiece as required reading for anyone about to make a claim about “buzzword of the day” and “China.”
PS – Comment here or message me if you’d like a copy of the vintage article.
