Normalcy is underrated…
Last week London was business as usual. People going about their normal lives. Tourists. Traffic. Celebrations. Big events. Crowded pubs. Restaurants FULL and requiring reservations. It was the definition of urban mobility and freedom.
And it was a welcome reprieve from the frustration and uncertainty gripping greater China. Being confined to quarters or small movements in the neighbourhood is stifling. Watching our businesses suffer is painful. We’ve all worked hard to get where we are.
I DO love the extra family time. I’m grateful. But everyone has cabin fever. They need a break.
My wife is scared to travel because the virus is rapidly spreading “outside” China and causing disruptions to holiday plans. Will they take us? Can we come home?
I have to say, I miss London and all that “normal” represents…
