Tmall Announces New Tools for Singles Day 2019 (Part 1)
At conferences for merchants held earlier this fall, Tmall category managers also shared various tools for 11.11 and encouraged all merchants to use them to increase engagement with consumers. In the coming days, we will share the new tools, their features, and how they can be of use to merchants and store operators.
Tmall Flagshipstore 2.0 is a new interface for the store homepage meant to be more engaging and relevant to visiting customers.
-Screen real estate designed for attracting fresh new customers
-Integrated platform suggestions based on user activity and interests
-interactive content relevant to visitor
-showcasing offline presence
-upgraded weitao (Taobao’s in-platform twitter)
While the storefront was much like Web 1.0 and stayed unchanged for so many years, this new version of the store makes much better use of the limited screen real estate. Brands that are not actively using this should make sure they’ve used all the available tools to make the homepage more engaging to new and repeat customers.
