Using DeepSeek for workout guidance is becoming the new craze.

A quick search for “DeepSeek fitness” on Xiaohongshu reveals a flood of posts teaching users how to refine their queries, tailor prompts, and turn the AI into a personalized virtual trainer. Posts with titles like “Training with DeepSeek Helped Me Hit My Lowest Weight Ever” have garnered thousands of comments and tens of thousands of likes.

This isn’t the first time AI has merged with fitness. North American tech company Tempo uses AI-powered motion tracking to provide real-time workout feedback, while Yoganotch, specializing in yoga, has developed a wearable 3D motion-capture system that analyzes biomechanics to precisely correct users’ yoga poses.

Industry reports indicate that the AI fitness market is poised for rapid growth, with smart fitness equipment at its core. Supported by app-based promotions, the entire industry chain is expected to thrive comprehensively. Analysts project that by 2025, China’s smart fitness market will reach ¥82 billion, while the global market is set to exceed $100 billion, reflecting immense growth potential.

This forecast is well-founded. According to the 2023 National Fitness Behavior Report, 87% of fitness enthusiasts abandon their training due to issues such as “inflexible plans,” “difficulty assessing exercise risks,” and “limited adaptability to different scenarios”—precisely the gaps that AI coaches can seamlessly address.

Imagine a near-omniscient coach—available 24/7, equipped with encyclopedic knowledge of exercise techniques, calorie and nutrition data, and the ability to deliver both expert guidance and emotional support. She can instantly curate the most suitable workouts from a vast library of programs and generate personalized, cyclical fitness plans in just two steps.

With such a coach by your side, working out would become an experience of unprecedented ease and reassurance.
